The transducer is installed on a pipe section featuring a double DN25 UNI EN 1092-1 flange.
The sensor is mounted on the side of the pipe and is equipped with an integrated radio transmitter. The unit is powered by an easily obtainable lithium battery, allowing the sensor to transmit recorded data for a period of approximately 60 days.
A radio receiver is provided on the side of the cabin; it is connected directly to the Geo Misure CFA system control boxes and powered by the box itself. The signal is transmitted in real time and received by the CFA data logger in the cabin with a delay of just a few milliseconds.
When the transmitter battery level drops below a threshold value, the CFA system display indicates that the battery will soon need replacing, allowing for the swap to be scheduled at the first convenient opportunity. The battery can be replaced on-site without removing the piece from the concrete line.
